A note from me, the founder.

The internet makes me laugh, especially in writing. Comment sections, in particular, continue to be a never-ending source of joy. Some of the funniest and most clever shit I’ve ever read came from people whose names I’ll never know. And then there’s The Onion which I can’t get enough of that one time I read it in the 90s.
So, given that and the fact that video just rots me to my core, I thought I’d start a social media satire platform for people who still know how to read and write.
As for the name… there’s this brilliant guy, Thomas Smith, who runs a great podcast called Opening Arguments. He’s funny-on-his-feet funny and often brings up the self-irony of the word ‘manslaughter’ which breaks out to ‘man’s laughter’. Similar to how ‘therapist’ breaks out to ‘the rapist’. However, ‘The Rapist’ felt off to me for some reason so I went with Manslaughter.
